Although there will be a place in industry for ladders, sometimes a better option is a mobile access tower or tallescope that can provide the flexibility of being mobile but having the safety system required by the HSE. We can provide prices for the HD1004 and other scaffold towers, either single or double width with massive savings and short delivery times to suit your needs.



Ladders & Steps

Duration 1-2 Day / On-site training available - PPE Required - ID Card & certificate provided.

Aims:
To understand responsibilities for safe use and inspection of ladders & steps in the workplace

Agenda:
Why the need for training?
Health & Safety rules and regulations
Safe use of ladders & steps
System of inspection
Ladder angles, tying, storage, footage & carrying
Risk assessment

Upon successful completion of the course a 5 year license and certificate will be issued



In house powered access or IPAF Operator

Duration 1 Day - On-site training available - PPE Required - ID Card & certificate provided.

Aims:
To instruct an operator to prepare and operate various types of Mobile Elevating Work Platforms

Agenda:
Health & Safety regulations and legislation
Accident control & prevention
Personal Protective Equipment
Operation and safe manoeuvre of machines
Pre use inspection
Auxiliary and manual decent procedure
Theory test and practical assessment
Delegates must be a minimum of 18 years old to enrol on the course
Maximum of 6 delegates using 1 category of machine, 4 delegates using 2 categories

Upon successful completion of the course a 5 year license and certificate will be issued by IPAF



Tallescopes

Duration 1/2 Day - On-site training available - PPE Required - ID Card & certificate provided.

Aims:
To state the main aims of the Health & Safety at Work Act 1974 and associated regulations.
To understand the need for safe erection and dismantling procedures.
To train the user to a level of competence to carry out the correct inspection or checks.
To understand the employers and employees responsibilities.

Agenda:
Introduction - Why the need for training?
Healthe & Safety at Work Act 1974 (sections 2 & 7)
Inspection of equipment
Safe systems of work
Handrails, toeboards and stabilisers
Construction (Health, Safety & Welfare) Regulation 1996
Correct procedures - hazards
Inspections - site checks
Assessment paper
Practical section - erecting and dismantling of equipment
Duration 0900 hrs to 1300 hrs

Each candidate requires a safety helmet, boots and any necessary Personal Protective Equipment for the practical section.

If training is carried out on-site, a suitable room and area would be required for the theory and practical section.



In House or PASMA Mobile Access Tower

Duration 1 Day - On-site training available - PPE Required - ID Card & certificate provided.

Aims:
To understand the need for safe erection & dismantling and inspection of mobile access towers

Inspections and registers
Safe systems of work

Use of outriggers and stabilisers
Theory test paper and practical assessment
